The Speaker of Anambra State House of
Assembly, Princess Chinwe Nwaebili, has
commissioned a water project sunk by her
for the Mmaju/Chiekwilo inhabitants of
Okpoko, in Ogbaru Local Government Area
of Anambra State.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Nwaebili
urged them to develop a good maintenance
culture over the project, so that they will
benefit maximally from it.
She charged them to vote massively for
APGA, for being a pace setter in the
transformation agenda of the state.
The Speaker who explained that the aim of
the project was not to commercialize it
rather it should be for the benefit of all,
promised to donate a transformer to the
community before the election.
In his speech, the member representing
Ogbaru 1in the State House of Assembly,
Hon. Benson Nwawulu, thanked the Speaker
for her magnanimity to the people of the
area, and urged them to vote massively for
the Speaker during the forthcoming election
so as to benefit more from her reservoir of
democracy dividends, when elected into
office.
The President General of Okpoko
Community, Hon. Linus Ezenwamma,
observed that the water will remain a
blessing to the people of Okpoko and
promised on their behalf to ensure the
proper maintenance of the project.
He warned miscreants and other political
parties who were invading Okpoko
Community, to desist, as the community is
for APGA.
In a welcome address, Little Miss Akanne
Favour of Kingdom of God Nursery/Primary
School, Okpoko , who itemized the exploits
of Speaker Nwaebili in the area to include
the donation of transformer to inhabitants of
Acha street, Iyiowa, donation of Skills
Acquisition Equipment to (CYON), Iyiowa
region, donation of motorcycles to Ogbaru
Catholic Youths, amongst others, observed
that it was high time the people of the area
reciprocated the gesture by voting massively
for Speaker Nwaebili.
The Ezza Ezekunna Welfare Association and
the Ward three community in Okpoko, were
not left out, as all attested to the
benevolence of Speaker Nwaewbili to
Okpoko Community, even, when she has not
started representing the area; and pledged
their unreserved support to Speaker
Nwaebili.
The highlight of the occasion was the
commissioning of the water project by
Speaker Nwaebili and display by a cultural
troupe.
