- Omotola Jalade showed interest in activism
in 2010 during the first Enough-is-Enough
rally
- Nine years down the line, the actress seems
to have lost steam as she is lamenting the
zeal of today's youth
- The mother of four claims she is an activist
by birth but that she is frustrated by
unchange
Saturday, March 16, was the ninth
anniversary of the Enough-is-Enough
(EiE) rally that was held in Abuja on
March 16, 2010. The rally was an avenue
for Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-
Ekeinde to showcase the radicalism and
activism in her as she was at the
forefront of the rally.
The EiE relied on the physical and
numerical strength of the youths to rally,
organise and mobilise them to demand
good governance and public
accountability.
Nine years later, the mother of four
looked back at what they were about to
achieve then and how ready the youths
of today are.

Though it is the ninth anniversary of EiE,
Omotola is claiming that she might be
losing her activism fire. She recalled that
she was so full of fire then but that she is
unsure she has not lost hope in humanity
to light the fire again. The actress is
claiming that she is an activist by birth
but frustrated by unchange.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde advised
Nigerians won who to vote for during the
just concluded elections in Nigeria. She
gave her opinion on what she thought
was the issue confronting the nation. The
beautiful actress talked about Nigeria
politics from a feminist point of view.
She drew attention of the people to the
fact that more women are now doing
better than men in almost every
endeavour. She then posited that their
current strides in the corporate world,
their home management skills and ability
to handle responsibilities positions them
properly as valid candidates to lead the
country into victory.
