In this metaphor, which has reference to the inner life of a believer, we have very plainly the idea of secrecy. It is a spring shut up: just as there were springs in the East, over which an edifice was built, so that none could reach them save those who knew the secret entrance; so is the heart of a believer when it is renewed by grace: there is a mysterious life within which no human skill can touch. It is a secret which no other man knoweth; nay, which the very man who is the possessor of it cannot tell to his neighbour. The text includes not only secrecy, but separation. It is not the common spring, of which every passer-by may drink, it is one kept and preserved from all others; it is a fountain bearing a particular mark--a king's royal seal, so that all can perceive that it is not a common fountain, but a fountain owned by a proprietor, and placed specially by itself alone. So is it with the spiritual life. The chosen of God were separated in the eternal decree; they were separated by God in the day of redemption; and they are separated by the possession of a life which others have not; and it is impossible for them to feel at home with the world, or to delight in its pleasures. There is also the idea of sacredness. The spring shut up is preserved for the use of some special person: and such is the Christian's heart. It is a spring kept for Jesus. Every Christian should feel that he has God's seal upon him--and he should be able to say with Paul, "From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus." Another idea is prominent--it is that of security. Oh! how sure and safe is the inner life of the believer! If all the powers of earth and hell could combine against it, that immortal principle must still exist, for He who gave it pledged His life for its preservation. And who "is He that shall harm you," when God is your protector?

If Constantine converted to Christianity, then he was
no longer a pagan. Any action he took was
Christian. The Sabbath day was equally made by
man. All that God said was that we should work six
days and rest on the seventh. He never indicated
which day was first and which was seventh. All that
was created by humans. Don't be surprised if the
first Hebrew calendar came from pagan Egypt.

Alright. Is Sunday, not a cycle in divine creation?
No day belongs to the devil.
Emperor Constantine legalized Easter, Sunday as
special time of worship and remembrance, etc, but
who do Christians revere on these days?

Constantine made Sunday a day of not by his power
alone. Elders in church advised him to make it a
worship because that was the day of resurrection.
Anti-cathokics like that Phillip Shaff did not even
say that Emperor Constantine did that a after he
became a Catholic. Pure mischief.

I am afraid you Christians by your liberal minds will
not kill and destroy christianity ! If Constatine
change days they worship idols to days to worship
the true God , after he as emperor converted to
christianity and made christianity the state religion ,
what is the crime and sin in that ? The issue we
should mind is the nomenclature of such days such
as Sunday . As Christians we can agitate for the
change of such nomenclature to something like"
Lordsday "or they revert to simple word of
SABBATH .

Thanks for being educated with real facts of history.
Even the Catholic Cathechism teaches it, but the
unenlightened keep arguing
Sunday worship or worship on Sunday, Christmas,
SOLIS NATALIS INVICTI, birthday of the invincible
Sun, turned Christ birthday and even Easter instead
of Passover and use of the Cross symbol instead of
tongue of flame or the Fish, the original Bible
believers symbol were all decreed by Constantine

IN DEFENCE OF HISTORY
Some things that need clarification by our church
leaders.
Constantine Made Sunday a Civil Rest Day
When Emperor Constantine I—a pagan sun-
worshipper—came to power in A.D. 313, he
legalized Christianity and made the first Sunday-
keeping law. His infamous Sunday enforcement law
of March 7, A.D. 321, reads as follows: "On the
venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and
people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops
be closed." (Codex Justinianus3.12.3, trans. Philip
Schaff,History of the Christian Church, 5th ed. (New
York, 1902), 3:380, note 1.)

Rani Aznar added 21 photos and 8 videos to
the album: Springbreak 2019 .
Not your typical springbreak.
After a week-long "break", coming home never felt
so weird. I was no longer sleeping on a cot, no
longer waking up next to people I barely knew, no
longer getting ready for physical labor, no longer
traveling to a house destroyed, and no longer
meeting residents of Panama City. I felt too
blessed.
The next morning after coming home, I woke up in
bed and felt as if some part of my heart was
missing. Recalling my week, this difficult situation
was all I could think about: Hurricane Michael hit
Florida on October 10, 2018. It was a category 4
hurricane that damaged homes and lives which left
families devastated and hopeless.
Hurricane Michael is the 2nd strongest storm to hit
Florida. 30% of Panama City's residents left and 72
lives were lost. 1 Million lost power and $25 Billion
worth of damages. It has been almost 6 months
since the hurricane and Panama City is still in rough
shape. Where is the help? Where is the media?
How come it has not been given much attention?
I, along with members of the Catholic Student
Association at Rutgers, was privileged to have
served and built great relationships with those
afflicted and with God. It was my first time to
participate and experience a mission trip, which has
truly impacted my life in ways I could not have
imagined.
I am and will always be reminded that I am a
missionary and that you are a missionary too. Let's
help spread the word/share, pray, support,
volunteer, learn and follow Mission850 . People are
in need of help and clicking a few buttons is the
least you could do.

Cynthia seems very shy and reserved, kind, and she
misses her husband and his taking care of
problems and making decisions. She kept saying
she did not want to be any trouble for anyone, or
cause a problem; she just did not know how to get
this tree removed.
The tree is threatening her house now. Cynthia is a
widow. She works in food service at the nearby
prison facility. She does not have the resources to
have this tree taken down but she is obviously very
concerned with hurricane season approaching.

Mission 850: Homegrown relief network aids Bay, Calhoun, Liberty Hurricane Michael victims

NADA HASSANEIN | TALLAHASSEE DEMOCRAT

Southwest Florida journalists document Hurricane Michael as part of roof from hotel blows off on Oct. 10, 2018.
ANDREW WEST, NEWS-PRESS
The Monday after Hurricane Michael's deadly landfall, Dot Wagner had dinner in a Tallahassee pizza shop with her husband and two of their kids. Wagner looked around her. Her city mostly had regained power, and normalcy was in reach.
She began to cry.

The Tallahassee couple had spent that whole day in ravaged Panama City, helping a family whose home was severely damaged — one side completely gone. Shops were closed, electricity would be out for weeks. Their friends were eating granola bars for dinner.
The two realities were jarring.

It was then Wagner and her husband decided to start Mission 850. The couple heard about people in need from their friends in Panama City, and knew pastors in impacted areas like Mexico Beach.
Through Mission 850, about 50 groups — some families and their neighbors, others church groups and classes — have signed up to volunteer their hands and resources. Through it, Wagner's created a database of helpers and residents in need and connects them with each other.

So far, the homegrown relief network of volunteers have touched about 60 families across Bay, Calhoun and Liberties counties, Wagner said.
Anita Sessions in Callaway, a suburb of Panama City, had been sleeping on a pallet for six weeks because her mattress was soaked from rain after a tree breached her bedroom ceiling, Wagner said.
Sessions, an elderly woman, had been trying to dry her mold-smelling mattress with a small table fan.

I absolutely loved working with Mission 850. In a situation fraught with chaos, suffering, and hopelessness, Mission 850 empowers both individuals and groups to bring hope, be present, and meet the immediate needs of the people affected by Hurricane Michael. Our group was provided with the information and connections we needed to find housing for ourselves, service sites, and also spiritual formation. I would absolutely recommend working with them. More importantly, I would absolutely recommend helping the mission! There is so much destruction, so much work to be done long-term… we're hoping to head back this summer!
– Mike, Youth Minister, FL
"I had no idea how Hurricane Michael destroyed homes, neighborhoods, and whole cities.  There are so many families in need of a helping hand.  Someone to carry out a wet sofa, pick up branches from a yard, or simply listen to them and pray with them.  We must continue to go and bring Christ's hope and love."

 -Renee Citly, Tallahassee FL

"I was shocked to see the impact that Hurricane Michael had on homes.   People's lives just turned upside down in a day.   They need our hands and feet to help them clean.  To help them rebuild.  To hand them some diapers or pick up a wet sofa.   I wish everyone would take time to come serve.  The need is so great."
