Your blog is not as important as your kids' souls

Dear Jesus Bloggers,

If there is ONE message I would tell women OVER and OVER again until they were sick and tired of me telling them it's this:

YOUR BLOG IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR KIDS' SOULS!!!

Someone I know once drove this point home with her own personal testimony of her mom who was a famous gospel singer. Because her mom was famous, people would come up to her and tell her, "You're so blessed. It must be wonderful to have such a godly mama."

She said she would lie and nod her head, but in reality she was deeply hurt because behind closed doors, her "godly mama" made it clear where her children stood in relation to her music career...second.

The Lord is so good, and he can redeem all our mama mistakes...but as Christian bloggers and mothers (or future mothers) let's not let your children fall on the the alter of the "blogging gods."

Famous missionary Brother Yun (Heavenly Man) was convicted of this divine order of operations:

Your relationship with God
Your relationship with your family
Your relationship with the world (this includes blogging as a ministry)

The first mission field is YOU. Your relationship with God is priority. When you fail to "put on the oxygen mask" of your soul...all other attempts at family/ministry will fall flat. Even if they SEEM successful in this life...God will call it "hay and rubble" at the end of days.

The second is YOUR FAMILY. How tragic would it be for our children to never THE REAL JESUS because we were too busy telling the world about this Jesus?

The third is THE WORLD. This includes friends, neighbors, business endeavors and most everything else.

NOW READ THIS!!!!

You might have it all "balanced" one week...and the next be completely off kilter!

This divine order of operations constantly needs tweaking and fixing. Schedules change. Kids get off of school for the summer. You might have some financial squeezing.

Grace allows for times when you need to ignore the kids to "get things done." BUT...always try to revert back to this divine default!

God > Family > Blog

Heavenly Father,

May my life honor you by putting the right things in the right places. May your divine order inspire my blog's agenda. Please convict me if I'm putting my blog above your or my family! I commit this day to serve you according to your supernatural order. Help me to believe that when I do this, you will provide the increase. My efforts may be less...but my fruit will be more if I follow you correctly.
