🙏Your Christian Blog IS Making a Difference🙏

Hey Jesus Blogger!

Ever wonder if your Christian blog is even worth the time?

You press "PUBLISH" and then crickets.

You pray. And nothing.

It's like you are hitting a brick wall. Your pageviews look dismal. Your social media posts don't get any comments. And when they do...it's from bots.

Ugh. Let's all just go eat worms, why don't we?

Christian blogging is different than regular blogging because you are passionate about Jesus...but it doesn't usually come with the fanfare of a blog about yoga, keto or crafts.

And honestly, it can make you a little angry at God for asking you to do this blog thing in the first place, am I right? Or am I right?

But...

Let me tell you a story I heard this past week about "a certain disciple" named Ananias.

We all remember the story of Saul on the Road to Damascus, right?

If not, let me sum up: Saul, a Jewish Pharisee, is on his way to go kill some more Christians who he believes are spreading lies about a resurrected Jesus. The Lord Jesus shows up and asks him, "Why are you persecuting me?" Saul becomes blind and his traveling companions have to escort him to the nearby village.

During the time Saul is laid up, God speaks to a certain disciple named Ananias and says, "Go tell Saul about me." Ananias is like, "WHOA GOD! That's the dude that's been killing us Jesus followers." But he goes anyway and restores Saul's sight (ie. scales fall from his eyes). Then...and this is the part we usually glaze over...Ananias is reported to have taken part in Saul's baptism and spiritual education. Saul becomes Paul and goes on to write most of the New Testament.

Sit back and let that story soak in.

Here is this little unknown nobody, doing something he didn't really probably want to do FOR someone he really didn't want to associate with.

Then, think about the affect this had on the entire world.

This man, whom we know absolutely NOTHING about, was the first human teacher of the writer of the New Testament. His words to Paul became a pivotal jumping off point that helped Paul launch into ministry. A ministry that literally still affects us today.

WOW! What a powerful impact ONE person can have when they are obedient to Jesus even in the most seemingly trivial ways.

So, I get it. You are sitting there with you 500 pageviews a month. Or even your 50,000 pageviews a month thinking "if I could only SEE the difference I'm making..."

Me too, honey. Me too.

But you ARE seeing it! Not YOUR fruit necessarily...but Ananais' fruit. You are seeing it 2000 years later, friend! Let that encourage you. Let Ananias' fruit be YOUR PROOF that in 2000 years, your words/actions WILL mean something to the world at large.

After the high of the miracles and training wore off, I bet Ananias went back to his little poe-dunk church and wondered, "Why am I here LORD?" and "What is my purpose?"

He might have even felt a little useless.

But we know the truth. Ananias is partly responsible for changing the entire world.

And so are you.

So. Are. You.

Don't let lack of pageviews, money or recognition get you off God's track for your life. If you've been Called to Blog don't give up. The world needs you.

Hit reply if you have questions or need specific encouragement.
